Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival Features Ski Race Spectacle
The Steamboat Springs carnival blends rodeo style events with ski races and high spirited demonstrations. Competitors compete in three legged, two legged and one legged races for skiers wounded in action. Horsedrawn ski races and jumping excite spectators while a cow pony and rider spear targets. Water polo in natural hot springs and Ski-Doos add novelty as the Steam Boat Springs High School Band provides period music.
