Yankees Buy First Baseman Dahlgren For Gehrig Contention
New York Yankees purchase first baseman Kileworth Dahlgren from Boston as protection against Gehrig holdout. Ruppert declares will field a team, with Gomez negotiations failing at 12500. Dahlgren, 24, 6 feet tall, 190 pounds, hit .318 in last season’s semipro and played for Syracuse. Gehrig’s contract remains the central hitch. Also notes Giants trio trade talks and Oklahoma A&M home economics enrollment for men.
