Bill to extend Oaklawn race season passes House
LITTLE ROCK AP A bill to extend the Oaklawn Park thoroughbred season from 60 to 56 days cleared the House 80-3 and moves to the Senate for 1974. The measure would raise funds for the Arkansas Thoroughbred Breeders Association from parimutuel pool contributions to promote the Arkansas breeding industry. Rep Charles Stewart Fayetteville said the change was suggested by the association and Oaklawn Park and aims to boost Arkansas breeders toward a stature rivaling Kentucky.

Cities Counties Give Up On Override In Arkansas
