Rescuers hunt survivors after Texas grain elevator blast

In Galveston Texas rescuers dig through rubble of a grain elevator after a thunderous explosion that killed at least nine and injured 23. A man and a woman were pulled from beneath debris as seven to eight others were feared missing. Dust and smoke hampered search, with authorities unsure of blast cause. City Raises Garbage Rates Ten Percent For Homes

Hope residents face a further 10 percent increase in residential garbage charges rising from 5.00 to 5.50 dollars per month for twice weekly pickup. Begin rejects pressure on Palestine plan in Knesset
