Jester in Fair Condition After Train Crash
Texarkana report states Charles Jester Jr. 18 of Hope remained in Wadley Hospital ICU Tuesday morning but listed in fair condition. He drove the car struck by a Missouri Pacific freight train in Hope last week, an accident that killed Joe Barton 18 of Hope, a passenger in Jester’s vehicle. Jester had been in serious condition last week and was moved from the list on Christmas Day.

Copter crashes into Quincy apartment building killing two
A radio station traffic helicopter slammed into a two-story brick building on Station Street near the Southeast Expressway. Two bodies burned beyond recognition were found near the wreckage.
