Our Daily Bread critic Alex H. Washburn condemns Arkansas Education Association guidance to teachers to apply for unemployment benefits during Christmas holidays. Police report seven forged payroll checks from G&S Manufacturing Co totaling 1399.85 were cashed in Hope on December 16 1977. Each for 197.55 made out to Walter Jones or Walter Lee Henderson and signed by A R Swartz. Two culprits used fictitious identifications and color photos. Locations included Rephan's Qtasco Howards TG Y Penny's and Kroger.
