Parker frees revenge motivated robber in Mass case
A 19 year old college student from Providence was freed after promising treatment for a nervous condition. The court release followed his plea that he robbed a Plainville store for funds to travel to Canada to kill jeweler J Albert Guay. Prosecutors noted the motive tied to the bomber crash that killed his father Russell Parker, ex vice president of Kennecott Copper, among 23 on Sept 9 at St Denis Quebec. The judge ordered placement in a private rest home and noted the youth appeared “completely broken” over his father’s death.
