Thousand Oaks, Calif. December 21 UP Sultan a four year old lion killed trainer Mrs May Schafer dragging her around the ring before her three children. Coroner Ted Maver said Schafer’s husband may decide to destroy the beast when he returns from Ft Worth. The circus trainer carried a gun but preferred whip and chair to manage animals.
Kennett Mo Dec 19 John Smith a Clarkton district farmer came to town and had an ad printed in the Winklin Democrat. The notice states a party or purses who took 108 hens from my chicken horse overlooked two hens and a poster.
