Rain is expected in Arkansas by tonight with the National Weather Service noting a continued chance through Wednesday. Colder air will follow the precipitation with the possibility of light rainfall or drizzle lingering into the week.
The Weather Service warned of snow in the extreme northwest portion of the state as a low pressure center moves into the southern Arkansas northern Louisiana area Wednesday. Cold arctic air will return, with warmer today in the 40s to 60s in the south, and highs Wednesday in the 30s to 50s. Overnight lows range mid 30s to mid 40s with specific lows listed for Pine Bluff El Dorado Texarkana Fayetteville Harrison Jonesboro Memphis Little Rock and Fort Smith. Continuous precipitation should end by Wednesday night with no rain expected Thursday through Saturday.
