No cut in state welfare budget persists
ARKANSAS officials say welfare funding will not drop despite federal takeover of adult category aid on Jan 1 1974. Expanded case loads and reform act costs keep state contributions rising to about 16.6 million in the first half of next fiscal year and over 51 million in the full year, with 8.28 million state share for adult aid and 3.7 million in supplemental payments.
