The Associated Press reports pleasant and cool conditions across Arkansas through Sunday as a high pressure center over East Texas slides east. A coroner's inquest Thursday night investigated the fatal shooting of 65 year old Rev. L C Keys of Texarkana. The inquest concluded the death was a hunting accident in the McNab area, announced Coroner J T Honeycutt.

Two blasts and a fire hit an Esso and Gulf bulk station near downtown Stamps causing warehouse and garage damage. No injuries reported as the Gulf tanks were damaged and windows shattered in nearby homes. Fire crews from Stamps Magnolia and Lewisville aided. cause under investigation.
North Korea's official radio says a South Korean airliner with 51 people aboard was hijacked by pro North Korean compatriots and taken to the North. The domestic flight from Kangnung to Seoul was hijacked Thursday afternoon, carrying four crew and 47 passengers.

Conway Arkansas police and Faulkner County authorities report the arrest of Jerry Fulmer, 82, at his Conway business on a seizure involving hashish and LSD. The incident was handled by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Arkansas State Police and local authorities.
