Obituary: Clyde McElroy 79 Hope native dies in Prescott

Clyde McElroy of Hope died early today in a Prescott nursing home at age 79. A World War I veteran, he is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Friday at 2 p.m. at Herndon Chapel with Rev. Gordon Renshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Ayers Cemetery with Herndon Funeral Home in charge.

Trustees appointed to University of Arkansas board

LITTLE ROCK AP Brad ley D Jesson of Fort Smith and Diane Nolan of El Dorado were named to the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees by Gov. Dale Bumpers. Jesson will serve until March 1 1984 replacing Roy Ritter. Nolan serves until March 1 1983 replacing Arnold, who is joining Bumpers in Washington as he becomes a U S senator. Nolan will be the first woman on the board since 1960.
