ST LOUIS AP Department store sales in the 7th Federal Reserve District rose about five percent for the week ending Nov 24 with Louisville up 10 percent and St Louis up 6 percent. Memphis and Little Rock declined four and two percent respectively, while district totals and year to date show gains or losses in line with prior year figures.
U S District Judge Gordon F E Young ruled that James W. Bockman 62 of Little Rock failed to prove a case for reinstating his medical license. Bockman formerly practiced in West Helena and West Memphis alleging theMedical Board revoked his license in 1957 because he is Jewish.
