FBI arrests suspect in armed robbery case near Fort Worth

The FBI announced the Thursday arrest of Andrew James Robinson a 20 year old Black man charged with fleeing Texas to avoid armed robbery prosecution. Police said Robinson was arrested near Magnolia while working as a pulpwood cutter. He is recharged at Fort Worth with robbing a store at gunpoint in September.

Laneburg tournament players overcome. carbon monoxide probe

Three Guernsey basketball players and others were overcome at the Laneburg gym last night and hospitalized overnight. The Laneburg incident prompted an inspection for possible carbon monoxide from a muffler, a small hole found but not blamed for the episode. No other teams or students were endangered and all were released. A charity auction at Lions Club headquarters will run three days, with Santa present and proceeds aiding local families at Christmastime.
