Army to Move Against Algier Rebels

In Algiers the Political Bureau of Deputy Prime Minister Ahmed Ben Bella called on loyal regulars and guerrilla forces to move against rebellious bands holding Algiers and the Kabyle Mountains. Col. Houari Boumedienne signaled readiness to march on the capital when ordered. Hundreds of guerrillas arrived to reinforce anti Ben Bella forces amid street clashes and a curfew defiance.

Air Conditioning Planned for Little Rock VA Hospital

Representative Mills said the Veterans Administration will install air conditioning soon in the 11 story Little Rock VA hospital completed in 1950 at about 11 million dollars. A supervisor noted cooling was limited to operating rooms. Mills expects to bid the project again shortly.

Bulldozer Accident Kills Driver In El Dorado Arkansas

J C Bates 39 was killed instantly when a 40,000 pound bulldozer he operated toppled off a flatbed trailer in El Dorado. Gates, an independent dirt moving contractor, was attempting to drive the machine away when it slipped and rolled over. He was alone at the time. neighbors helped his wife reach the site as authorities recovered the body.
