Hope High football star lauded by ex coach at Rotary

Gaylord Solomon told the Hope Rotary Club at Town and Country on Friday that Hope High athlete David Johnson will join the U of A this fall. The 19 year old 6 foot 210 pound back rushed for 4 500 yards and 48 touchdowns in high school while attracting interest from 30 colleges. Solomon praised U of A for high recruiting standards and noted college pressure can backfire.

Greek Archbishop jailed by Israelis amid arms smuggling probe
