Doctor Kills Daughters Then Himself Near Siloam Springs
A Benton County veterinarian, Martin E Nodurfth, 43, killed his two daughters Susan 17 and Karen Lynn 13 with a 12 gauge shotgun at their home near Siloam Springs and then took his own life. Susan was found at the kitchen table and Karen in a bed upstairs. the father’s body was in the kitchen. No motive given. the shooting occurred about 7 am. Susan had just returned from taking her mother to work at the hospital. The family’s sons were not home. Funeral service set for Tuesday at Wasson Memorial Chapel. Nodurfth worked as a supervisor of a USDA meat inspection team. He held degrees from Fringe University and Kansas State University. Karen was in eighth grade. Susan was senior at Siloam Springs High School.
