Police said Ethel Lane, 54, of Fayetteville, Ark., was killed in a head on automobile collision near Rose in Northeast Oklahoma on Sunday.

Simultaneously Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces hit Suang, 24 miles south, for a second straight day. In South Vietnam, 10 Americans killed and 41 wounded across two ground engagements, mine and booby trap incidents, and two aircraft crashes.

Hempstead County residents increased blood donations in 1989 70. four visits are planned for fiscal year 1971 with about 10 pints hoped for on this trip. Donors give about 45 minutes of time and rarely miss a pint, potentially saving a life.

A Rosston youth, Scott Smyth age 15, missing since Tuesday August 4, has been found by officers in Crowley Louisiana. His father Joe Smyth was notified late Saturday.
Tupamaro guerrillas killed American police expert Daniel A. Mitrione after Uruguay refused to free about 180 political prisoners. Mitrione’s body was found in a bloodstained car four miles from Montevideo city center. Officials warned the fate of two other hostages, Brazilian Consul Aloysio Gomide Dias Gomide and Claude Fly, remained unclear as tensions rose over the ransom deadlock.
