Pryor says Arkansas Plan lacked fair chance in Assembly
Gov. David Pryor said his Arkansas Plan to empower local governments did not receive a fair shot in the recent General Assembly session. He spoke on KARK TV from Little Rock during a half hour call in which he answered 22 of nearly 100 questions and defended the proposal against concerns over ceding power from the state to cities and counties. He added he hopes no Arkansas execution occurs during his term, opposes marijuana legalization, and says desegregation busing is not among energy saving ideas under consideration.
