Moon's Gravity Drives Tides More Than Sun
The tides arise from gravitational pull of the sun and moon on Earth's oceans. Because the moon is much closer, it is the principal tidal force, while the sun's contribution is smaller though significant. No Nobel Peace Prize awarded in 1967 for a second consecutive year.
