Arkansas milk production up 5 percent last month

The Arkansas Crop and Livestock Reporting Service reported milk production at 5 percent more than the prior month, a 16 percent rise from February, and 2 percent above March 1973. Production per cow rose by 85 pounds from February and 10 pounds from a year ago, while total milk cows stood at 94,000. Descendants of Abraham: Arabs and Jews trace lineage to Abraham through Ishmael and Isaac.

Three Die in Arkansas Highway Accidents

Three people died in weekend traffic crashes across Arkansas. Ralph Hill, 13, of Houston in Perry County, was bicycle riding when hit by a pickup on Arkansas 60 east of Perryville. David Hawkins, 14, of Tillar, a passenger in a pickup struck by a Missouri Pacific train at an intersection in Tillar. Walter Brown, 39, of Texarkana, was struck crossing U S 82 in Texarkana city limits, with the first vehicle pushing him into a second car. Police identified the victims and noted the sequence of events.

Woman held in shooting death in Little Rock incident

Little Rock police hold a 6 year old woman in connection with the shooting death of Eugene Sew art, 34, of Scott. Details were not immediately available as the shooting occurred at a residence Sunday in Little Rock.
