Watts on the rise at 21 as piano prodigy shines
Andre Watts, a 21 year old pianist born in Nuremberg to a Hungarian mother and American father, receives high praise in New York. He tours with Zubin Mehta and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, records for Columbia, and appears as soloist 11 times with the New York Philharmonic next season. He will be featured on CBS TV's Alumni Reunion with Leonard Bernstein on April 19, returning to the venue of his 1963 breakthrough.
