Cooler weather crosses Arkansas with strong winds
The Associated Press notes a cold front entering the western part of the state bringing cooler temperatures. National Weather Service warns of lingering cold effects as a front moves in from the west. A severe weather event toppled a mobile home in Lusora, Mississippi County, causing no injuries. State Police report the home was blown into a tool and dye.

Weather and fire damage hit Hope area in week update
A building fire in a development area caused about 80 000 in damage alongside reports of funnel clouds and tornado warnings in northeast Arkansas. Weather forecasts call for lingering showers then clearing skies cooler temps with daytime highs in the 60s to 70s and overnight lows in the 30s to 40s across the region.

New Senior Citizens Nutrition Program Starts in Hope Hempstead
On March 18 a new program for senior citizens began in Hope and Hempstead County named Sr Nutrition Services of Hempstead Co. operated by SWADCO. Tom Lockard is executive director. About 100 meals daily are served at North City Park and McNab sites with no set fee, contributions accepted. Site directors are Elaine Johnson and Ruth Applegate.

Beulah Mae Lewis 69 of Nashville died Saturday in a Hope hospital. Services were held at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Rosenbaum officiating and burial in Ozan Cemetery. Surviving are a son Bobby Joe Hichardson and daughter Helen Raiford, plus siblings and grandchildren. Charles H. Crayne 48 of Prescott died Sunday in a Prescott hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Prescott Assembly of God Church, burial in Tiny Grove Cemetery. He was a lab technician for Prescott Industrial Products, World War I veteran, survived by wife Louise Holder Crayne, three sons, parents Charley and wife, and three sisters.
