Groundwater network funded in Michigan budget
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is set to sign the 2021 22 budget with more than 11 million dollars for an Ottawa County groundwater monitoring network. The project aims to install wells over 8 12 months to collect data on groundwater levels and withdrawals, enabling real time geologic data and future scenario modeling for housing and commercial development.

State report shows no COVID-19 outbreaks in Holland area schools last week with one school from Ottawa and Allegan counties. Holland Public Schools reported six new student cases, totaling 34 student and six staff cases this school year, while West Ottawa listed 18 active student cases across eight buildings.
