Larry R Thompson 78 of Saugatuck and formerly Edwardsburg and Sand Creek died after a long cancer battle at Holland Hospital. He taught Government and Driver Education, coached 25 years, and later served as Guardian ad Litem for Allegan County Probate Court. He held roles at MSU WMU and led state safety groups while serving on multiple boards. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth and three sons, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a brother. Services and memorials were planned in Edwardsburg with donations to local schools and athletic boosters.
