Parking lawsuit may head to higher court
The city of Holland sues MCBR Properties over parking violations at three rental homes affecting Hope College students. A bench trial in Ottawa County Circuit Court led Judge Jon Hulsing to request written findings by Nov. 16 before issuing a written opinion. The ruling could be appealed to a higher court, with a 21 day window after the decision. The 2016 suit hinges on local ordinance limiting to six vehicles per property and parking in paved space. The 42 E. 13th St. home is central to the case.
