Ottawa County Parks wins over 4 million in grants
Ottawa County Parks receives more than 4 million dollars in Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grants for two Ottawa County projects. The Ottawa Sands Phase 2 project aims to create a near six mile wildlife corridor from Grand Haven North Pier to Hoffmaster State Park while another grant funds land acquisition along Lake Macatawa in Park Township for kayak launch parking and recreation amenities. Private donations and a Conservation Fund loan back the Ottawa Sands project with public comment planned during master planning.
