REP4 alliance formed to reshape higher education nationwide
Six colleges and universities in Texas Idaho Georgia California Pennsylvania join Grand Valley State University to launch the Rapid Education Prototyping for Change Learners Community Equity alliance. The goal is faster innovation and broader access with student co-designers from 30 regional high schools and community partners. Superior Sport to Close Holland Store After 112 Years
Superior Sport Store will shut its downtown Holland location at 206 River Ave after a century of service. Co owner Joel Vande Poel and his brother Eric cite long term considerations and the best path for everyone involved in the decision. The business began as Superior Cigar Store in 1909 founded by Joel’s great grandfather Bert, later evolving into sporting and gaming goods with tobacco, a soda fountain, slot and pinball machines, and hunting and fishing equipment.

Child dies after pellet gunshot in Blendon Township
A 4-year-old died after a pellet gun shot in Blendon Township on Friday. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office believes the shooting was accidental. Responders rushed the child to Spectrum Health Downtown by Life EMS, where he was pronounced dead. The case remains under investigation.

LED bulbs offered free to residents in Holland and Zeeland
Local residents can swap old bulbs for LEDs through public rebate programs run by Holland and Zeeland BPW. The Hol land BPW Energy Smart program provides up to 36 bulbs per household, while Zeeland BPW rebates up to 25 bulbs. Green Projects Group reports over 600 homes served in Holland.
