Officials react to pastor critique of police stop in church
In Holland, a week after Maple Avenue Ministries Pastor Denise Kingdom Grier posted video of a high risk traffic stop in her church parking lot, city officials defend police actions. Why aren’t there more food trucks in Holland
Holland lacks mobile food establishments in its downtown due to zoning rules that favor C-2 highway districts on the outskirts. Transitory units operate with a four day health notice, while mobile trucks must return to a commissary every 24 hours. Downtown Eighth Street remains non C-2, limiting truck access and leaving transitory units as the prevalent sight. Local inspectors note the permitting process is complex and zone dependent.
