Michigan seeks PATH grants to aid homeless with mental illness
Michigan Department of Health and Human Services issues a PATH grant request to fund nonprofit groups and local entities in Prosperity Regions 4 through 10. Grants start at 100000 dollars and cover outreach and case management for homeless individuals with serious mental illness or co occurring disorders. Applications due by 3 p.m. April 24 with details on the MI E Grants site.

Teen to enter plea in Dutch theft ring case
Zeeland teen Jett Ellerbroek, 17, faces two counts of third degree home invasion as part of a wide theft spree in Holland and Zeeland. He and co-defendant Dylan Connelly, 18, were arrested Jan 30 and released on bond. Ellerbroek set to plead Monday before Judge Karen Miedema. potential penalties include up to 10 years in prison.

Zeeland Christian hires director of learning innovation
Karyl Morin will join Zeeland Christian School as director of learning innovation in April. Morin has partnered with ZCS since 2012, led the sixth grade project that produced the splash pad in Zeeland, and previously directed CultureWorks Transformative Art and Design Academy. She holds a Hope College degree and has long focused on inclusive education and student agency.
