Nestle to boost funds for Muskegon River watershed
Nestle Waters North America will add 2 million dollars to the Ice Mountain Environmental Stewardship Fund, managed by Fremont Area Community Foundation in Newaygo County. The fund supports nine-county watershed projects from Houghton Lake to Muskegon and has awarded about 625 thousand dollars for erosion control the restoration of creeks rain gardens and site cleanups. The next application period opens June 1.
