Is NASA budget worth its cost and impact
A Reddit style argument by Peter Burkey, listing why NASA spending is justified. It cites that NASA consumes about 0.5 percent of the U.S. budget, funds earth science like SMAP, tracks asteroids, yields two thousand tech spinoffs including cameras and GPS, supports the economy through salaries and contractors, and fuels exploration and imagination. It includes a timeline of NASA milestones and ends with a personal note.
