Holland faces second denial for 48 unit senior housing project
Samaritas aimed to build 48 low income senior apartments at 40 W 16th St in Holland but state funding was denied for a second time. Holland has seen several affordable housing projects stall, including Kensington Place and a 2017 bid by General Capital at 254 S River Ave. State housing authority reported 56 LIHTC applications with 14 funded, underscoring fierce competition for limited dollars.
