Holland notes hate crime claims at special meeting

Holland residents heard allegations of ethnic intimidation after a weekend incident in which Rev. Wayne Coleman’s truck windows were smashed and he heard a racial slur. Two Holland Township teens, Gregory Lambers and Steven Boeve, faced charges including fleeing and eluding and resisting police, with bonds set at 10 000 and 15 000 dollars respectively. Investigators sent evidence to the state crime lab with DNA results possibly six months away. The Ottawa County Prosecutor awaited lab results before deciding on charges.
