Neighbors Build Wash ington School Green Playground
Holland residents gathered to finalize a pocket park at the former Washington School site. The project, in works since 2016, raised about 80,000 dollars with city legacy funds 50,000 and a 15,000 grant from the Community Foundation. Neighborhood leaders described it as a community build with strong local investment. The first day of play is set for Tuesday July 17 with the Holland Police ice cream truck visiting from 2 to 4 p.m.
