Aquatic Center to Get Disability Lift From Local Grant
Holland Community Aquatic Center will install an electric chair lift this fall to replace a 20 year old manual lift. The grant from the Holland Junior Welfare League covers over half the $11,000 cost, with about $3,500 still needed and donations accepted at 616-393-7595. Christy Roe says the lift enables independent entry for children with disabilities, meeting ADA compliance and letting them enter the water with peers.
