Holland tightens fireworks rules for Independence weekend
Holland residents are urged to follow state and city laws during the holiday period 11 a.m. to 11 45 p.m. June 29 to July 4 with extensions when July 5 falls on a Friday or Saturday. Violations carry a 1000 fine. Minors require adult supervision and fireworks may not be set on public or private property without permission. Captain Buursma warns against drinking and lighting.
