Harbison conviction upheld on numerous sexual abuse counts
An Allegan County man, Brandon Harbison, 25, has his conviction for two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, an attempted first degree duct, and one count of accosting a child under 16 sustained after two appeals. The case centers on abuse of his grade school aged niece in 2012. The Michigan Court of Appeals again upheld the verdict, and the Michigan Supreme Court did not take up the matter, though asked a second time to review Dr. N Debra Simms testimony. Harbison faces a 26 year eight month to 40 year prison term with earliest release in 2041.
