Honor Guard Gives Free Military Honors to Local Veterans
Holland’s VFW Post 2144 Honor Guard, led by Richard Vredeveld, served 102 deceased veterans in 2017, logging 987 hours and 1,443 miles across Grand Haven, South Haven, Grand Rapids and Holland. They perform at homes, parks, and VFW parking lots, usually two or three services in a day, free of charge, with donations funding uniforms and travel.
