Biles joins push against Nassar abuse by gymnasts
Olympian Simone Biles revealed on Twitter that she is among the athletes abused by former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar. She joins Aly Raisman Gabby Douglas and McKayla Maroney in detailing the abuse as Nassar faces decades in prison and a federal sentence for sexual assault of multiple girls. Biles says the "special" treatment by the trusted physician was not normal and plans to return to competition amid her healing and training at the national team facility north of Houston. The Karolyi Ranch deal to sell the facility collapsed in 2016 after Nassar’s misconduct emerged and the facility remains in use while alternatives are explored.
