Ottawa County Holds Third in Michigan Unemployment
The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows Ottawa County ranking third in the state for unemployment in November 2017 with a 3 percent rate. Across Michigan, 13 of 17 major labor markets posted job declines, while total state payroll jobs rose by 7,000 to 4,457,000. The Grand Rapids Wyoming area, including Ottawa County, saw employment lift from 552,100 to 558,900.
