Holland council approves digester financing plan
The Holland City Council authorized Holland Board of Public Works to issue up to 30 million dollars in revenue bonds to fund an anaerobic digester at the wastewater plant. The project could cost about 23 million, with 4.6 million in principal forgiveness from EGLE Green Project Reserve. The digester will reduce waste, create fertilizer grade byproducts, and generate gas for facility use. The council also approved paying Hitchcock Design Group up to 55 thousand for waterfront development consulting.
