New Saugatuck-Douglas library set to open this summer
Saugatuck Douglas residents see progress on the district library funded by a 2018 millage. The Center Street project, twice the size of the old building, will improve accessibility and add restrooms, multi functional spaces, and quiet reading areas. After weather delays and contractor issues, problems were resolved with A&G Construction covering costs and more frequent inspections. The project is moving forward toward summer programming.
