Two arrested in Holland Township shootings
Ottawa County deputies report two men, Jonathan Jair Garces-Palma 19 and Nilson Jose Morales 21, arrested in a string of Holland Township shootings dating from Nov 21 to Dec 4. Garces-Palma faces shooting from a moving vehicle and accessory after the fact. Morales faces multiple counts of discharging a firearm from a vehicle, felony firearm, and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. Two more persons are identified but not charged. another Dec 9 shooting is tied to the same investigation.
