Michigan Senate fails to strip home growing from pot ballot plan
In Lansing the state Senate did not reach the required three quarters to modify the recreational marijuana ballot proposal from voters on November 6. Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof pushed changes including a home grow ban and tax shifts, but lacked enough support as lawmakers adjourn for the year. The bill would have created a licensing board overseen by the state Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs to regulate recreational marijuana.
