Michigan to study PFAS exposure in West Michigan towns
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services leads MiPEHS, a multi year study tracking PFAS exposure and health outcomes in Parchment and Cooper Township in Kalamazoo County and Belmont and Rockford in Kent County from 2020 to 2026. About 130 participants are enrolled with a target of 4000, using a longitudinal design to repeatedly measure PFAS levels and health data.
