Holland court rules city parking ordinance illegal
Ottawa County Circuit Court Judge Jon Hulsing ruled that Holland’s parking ordinance violates state and federal law, favoring Hope College over private landlords. The decision sides with defendants MCBR Properties LLC and WBH Properties LLC, dismissing complaints and deeming the ordinance unconstitutional. Judge Hulsing noted no logical basis for the disparate treatment and voided the six-vehicle cap.
