Little Lemons lemonade stand promotes business lessons
The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland kids in the Little Lemons program hosted a lemonade stand on Van Raalte Avenue to raise funds for new furniture. Third and fourth graders handled money, making lemonade and marketing from 10 am to 3 pm with regular and pink flavors at $1.50 per cup. The effort, now in its third year, teaches budgeting and entrepreneurship, with Kaiie Mufioz supervising and Baxter Graham and Diego Balcazar in mascot roles. The group has earned about $3,000 over two years, aiming for $2,000 this season through sales, donations, and matching funds.

Missing Allegan County teen found in Rhode Island
Gracie Hewartson, a 15 year old from Hopkins Township Allegan County, was located in Warwick Rhode Island after leaving with a 40 year old man she met online. The suspect is in custody and authorities are arranging reunification with her family.

One-car crash in Zeeland injures two
A 74-year-old South Carolina man drove west on Chicago Drive in Zeeland Township when he fell asleep, veered into the median, and rolled near 64th Avenue. The 75-year-old female passenger, also from South Carolina, was pinned and freed by Zeeland Fire Rescue. Both were taken to Spectrum Hospital by AMR Ambulance with non life threatening injuries. The crash is under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
