Michigan voters face challenges with new Braille aware voting machines
In Michigan new voting equipment replacing aging machines may hinder blind voters. About 221,000 residents have visual disabilities and most counties switch to Dominion or other brands lacking Braille keypads. Testers favored ES&S and noted Hart InterCivic as harder to use while ADA compliance is maintained. Officials will use feedback to improve devices ahead of the polls.
