A Sunday excursion to Kilauea's crater included Mr. and Mrs. RK C Brown Honolulu Miss Olive Block Springfield MA Mr Geo Keeney and Mr Cass Puunene Maui and Miss Jessie Robertson Santa Rosa CA Host and hostess at Volcano House led the party down to the crater floor and through Pele’s Kitchen cooking parts of a meal on cracks and hot rocks The group watched lava fumes and hot stones while enjoying coffee bacon and bread and butter sandwiches The return ascent offered lunar light and a final climb to the top amid cheers and a fire chat.
